The Process:

  • Call us for a free 15-minute phone consultation to determine if Bloom Bright Speech is right for you and your family!

  • An initial assessment is completed prior to the start of treatment to determine your child’s strengths and areas of need. Assessment may include formal measures (e.g., standardized assessment tools) or informal measures (e.g., questionnaires, observation, and play-based activities). Assessment results are used to create functional and meaningful treatment goals in collaboration with you.

  • Individualized treatment programs are created based on goals identified during the initial assessment. Treatment will be evidence-based and tailored to your child’s needs and interests. We find that play-based activities in a familiar setting (e.g., home, community, school, or daycare) are the most effective way to help you child achieve meaningful and functional communication gains! Treatment may be provided regularly (e.g., weekly or biweekly) or on a consultative basis (e.g., monthly).

Fees & Funding

  • All sessions are fee for service. Clients may pay with cash, credit card through our booking app or via e-transfer. Payment is due the day of the session. Detailed electronic receipts will be provided via email or text.

    Direct Services (Assessment & Treatment)

    • In Person: Fee includes planning/prep time, documentation, and travel within city limits

      • 60-minute session - $180 

      • 45-minute session - $160

      • 30-minute session - $135

    • Virtual: Fee includes planning/prep time and documentation

      • 60-minute session - $160

      • 45-minute session - $140

      • 30-minute session - $115

    Indirect Services

    • All indirect services are billed at $150 an hour and include:

      • Scoring/Interpreting assessment results (e.g., standardized assessments and speech/language samples)

      • Report writing

      • Recommendation letters (for OAP, Jordan’s Principal Funding, etc.)

      • Team/IEP/Circle of Care meetings & communication

    • Assessment sessions do not automatically include a formal report. Reports can be requested, and indirect service fees will apply. If a report is not requested, results will be discussed with you at the end of the session and a brief email outlining the results will be sent. 

    • In-person session fees include travel within city limits. Sessions taking place outside of city limits will be subject to additional travel fees based on distance from the city and will be agreed upon by the clinician and family prior to provision of services. Alternatively, families may choose to complete their session at a public space within city limits.

    • Bloom Bright Speech is an Ontario Autism Program (OAP) approved service provider. For more information on OAP funding, visit https://accessoap.ca/.

    • Some extended health benefit programs may offer Speech-Language Service coverage. Check with your provider to see if this is available to you and what your individual coverage limits are. While Bloom Bright Speech does not direct bill insurance companies, detailed invoices will be provided which you can submit to your coverage provider for reimbursement.
